What We Do

The possibilities with LifeTec’s Rapid Cold-Formed Steel Framing Technologies are literally endless and can contribute to all building applications. Even in projects requiring structural concrete or steel, LifeTec can still generate significant efficiencies for all non-load-bearing and interior walls.

LifeTec provides a one-stop solution which will take our clients from concept to framing completion, in a fraction of the time currently required. Our state-of-the-art software and CNC printing machinery, virtually removes human error and limitations from the building process, delivering a precise finished product every time.

Consulting/Facility Advisory Services

LifeTec Consulting

Our Architects are current with LifeTec’s CFS products and assist in the Consulting Process with our Client’s own Iocal architect and structural engineer team.

Design

The entire structure is virtually built in a 3D BIM modelling space. This process identifies challenges typically uncovered during the build process and allows LifeTec to mitigate most problems before they occur on-site.

LifeTec provides comprehensive detailing services to take you from an architectural design to a framed structure in a fraction of the time of the conventional system. Our methodologies are 80% frontloaded to our planning stage, where we build your entire project, stud-by-stud, in a virtual space before it even reaches our manufacturing equipment. Our planning services include:

  1. Structural designing and detailing.
  2. Complete shop drawings stamped for permit applications.
  3. Building envelope consulting
  4. Installation consulting to achieve lockup after framing is completed
  5. Design Consulting between various engineers

Reduced designing time improved on-site accuracy, lower construction costs and an accelerated construction timeline are all inherent benefits of adopting a Design-Led process. The FRAMECAD system ensures faster, seamless operations in every phase of a building project. The Leading by Design eBook walks you through the benefits of the design-led process and how easy it is to implement into your project.

Manufacturing & Pre-Fabrication

Structures are panelized into wall frames, floor joists and roof trusses at speeds up to 2,200 linear feet per hour in a controlled facility. Panels are strategically packed for shipping to maximize onsite assembly.

CFS frames and components are produced and fabricated from structural quality steel coils and are shaped at ambient temperatures by roll-forming machines.

They can be produced in large quantities and at high speed with consistent quality and precision.

The wide range of advanced tooling functions provided by systems like the FRAMECAD System allow high productivity and versatile output to produce roof trusses, wall frames, and floor joists — all to exact measurements, saving time and costly wastage in the construction stage. Detailed design speeds up compliance, reduces designing cost and minimizes room for error on-site.

FRAMECAD manufacturing equipment is highly accurate, versatile, and drives accelerated output.

Installation

Panels are prepared and ready for delivery to the building site and initial assembly instruction is provided to the Client site resources by LifeTec. Every dimension of the final installed LG-CFS structure is accurate within a tolerance of only .5mm or 1/64 inch.

CFS fabricators supply frames pre-assembled, strong and straight, and clearly identifiable. No on-site welding or cutting is normally required. This means that the erection process is fast and simple – requiring less labor time on-site and heavy-lifting equipment.

Steel frames do not absorb moisture so there is no delay waiting for frames to dry. This means minimized weather delays for rain, snow, or excessive heat, for example.

CFS construction can offer a much more predictable construction schedule and less on-site cost than traditional construction methods. For example, as the material is lightweight, no heavy lifting equipment is needed on-site, frames, trusses and joists can typically be carried into place by on-site labor.

Frames are made to precise dimensions meaning pre-made windows, doors and bathrooms will fit perfectly and quickly reducing designing cost and minimizing room for error on-site.

FRAMECAD System requires no welding or riveting in assembly and is easily erected on site with basic tools.
